Day of the Dead is a traditional Mexican celebration that happens on the 1st and 2nd of November.
During this time the living celebrate the dead in their new stage of life, not seen as a time for sadness but as another stage in the cycle of life. The day was named official UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2008.
Over the weekend, the capital held its first parade to commenorate the event starting at the Angel of the Revolution, moving down Reforma to the Zocalo. Shout out to the scouts who were onsite to help out!!
